✨ Apprentice Early Years Practitioner ✨

Full Time Position

Reports to:   Deputy Nursery Manager

Main responsibilities:         

           

✨To implement and promote all Tiny Toes policies and staff rules

✨To deliver a high standard of care for children aged 0-5 years.

✨To begin to have an understanding of children’s development, their needs and the provision of positive play

✨To demonstrate a genuine care for children

✨To take an interest in the children, and their families, to treat them as individuals and with respect at all times

✨To provide a warm and caring environment for babies and children

✨To ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others.

✨To be a good role model for children

✨To ensure an adherence to the health and safety policy relating to the provision of play

✨To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Room Lead / Deputy Nursery Manager / Nursery Manager.

✨To ensure that all information pertaining to Tiny Toes, its operation, children, staff and parents remain confidential

✨To be flexible and adaptable, to assist in all areas of nursery work and to provide support for other members of staff

✨To be aware of the correct procedure in the event of an emergency situation

✨To be aware of the practice of providing equal opportunities for children and their families

✨To be aware of safeguarding requirements for themselves and the children

✨To attend staff meetings and training courses as directed by senior managers

✨To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship

Main activities:         

           

🌟To assist in providing a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors at all times.

🌟To assist in delivering an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.

🌟To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.

🌟To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.

🌟To assist in planning activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.

🌟To be a buddy to a key person.

🌟To carry out housekeeping duties as appropriate

🌟To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives.

 

Training:

📝A training provider will be arranged for you by Tiny Toes.

📝Firstly, the training provider will ask you to complete a skills scan, for Literacy and Maths

📝You assigned assessor will visit you on site to support your training, throughout your qualification and also be available on the phone.

📝You will have an assigned Mentor at the Nursery to support you.

📝You will have regular check ins with your mentor and assessor to help and support you with your training.

📝You will complete online courses to support obtaining the qualification, i.e. Child Protection training, First Aid training.
