The position starts on Monday, 5th September and is a permanent position.

An exciting opportunity to join us and be part of our small, nurturing team has opened up. This is an excellent role for an Early Years Level 3 practitioner who would like to take the next steps towards developing their skills in wellbeing and compassionate caregiving. We offer a spacious inside area with a large garden. We have a well-established and qualified team of supportive colleagues.
The person we are looking for will be enthusiastic, caring and have the well-being and involvement of the children and their families at the heart of their practice. They will need sound knowledge of the EYFS and child development.


  1. To ensure that each child is working with in the areas of learning in the EYFS.
  2. To be responsible for providing a high quality of teaching, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children.
  3. To supervise and take part in the daily programs of pre-school activities and events.
  4. To be responsible for implementing systems of observation and record keeping for your key children so that children’s attainment and progress are effectively and regularly assessed; to monitor the effectiveness of assessment progress.
  5. To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book.
  6. To liaise closely with parents/carers of your key children, informing them about the pre-school and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement.
  7. To ensure that the pre-school is a safe environment for children, staff and others, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times and fire drills are regularly practiced.
  8. To contribute to and to implement all pre-school policies and procedures, especially those on safeguarding, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
  9. To deputise for the Pre-school Manager and/or Deputy Manager in the event of absence.
  10. To attend in-service training and meetings as required.
  11. To be supportive of fundraising initiatives.
  12. To support a range of hygiene standards.
  13. To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Pre-school Manager or Chair, in accordance with the Pre-school’s business plan/objectives.
  14. To encourage good oral health with the children.
  15. To support the children’s well-being.
  16. To attend safeguarding training and first aid training every 3 years.
